    Yup. This is my wife's life in a nutshell. Photographers get this all the time. Don't put up with that. Your landlord won't accept "exposure" for rent. If whatever they want work done for is big and prestigious enough to really give you the type of exposure that will seriously kick-start your business, then it's big enough to pay, and they probably wouldn't even be asking for it for free.
