I wrote today's comic about Pocket Planes, which I've lately been playing on my iPhone. It's an addictive little game that has a great concept but has some very fundamental flaws. Many of these flaws have to do with the game's bizarre economy and monotonous gameplay. But one gripe I have is that the plane and airport system is so unrealistic. This strip airs one of my major complaints with the game, that medium-sized propeller planes can't land at airports in the game that accommodate mother freaking jetliners in the real world. It's so strange and annoying and insulting to those cities that I got frustrated enough to delete the game. Then I got sucked back into it by some friends at Child's Play Charity and Loading Ready Run. Sigh. By the way, LRR did their own hilarious video send-up of Pocket Planes, which you should totally check out as well.
