Water from the Sky
Today’s comic is pretty self explanatory. I’ve been staying in Los Angeles for just over two months now, and I’ve seen it rain twice, both times for less than two minutes. I’m headed back to Canada today to see my family, friends and my dog (<3) and I’m a little worried that I’ve become too used to the sunny, hot weather. I suppose we’ll find out shortly!

A slightly calmer situation happened to me when I moved from SoCal to the Portland Metro Area in Oregon…

See, if i were to come to California from England i would be having a similar reaction to the sun. It’s all kinds of sky water here.

… I don’t get it. Is this “sky-water” something other countries get that Australia doesn’t, or what?

Yeah, other countries have water coming from the sky to cover a reasonable part ground instead of coming from the ocean in one big wave

We from The Netherlands have however decided to protect ourselves from the big ocean wave water and build protective barriers against it, both on land and on water. The ones on land we call dykes and the one on water we call Great Britain (meaning in ancient tongue Great Dumb Rock).
It has come to our attention however that recently some complete idiots decided to live on our ocean barrier for reasons I cannot comprehend.

LOL!

It seems Texas and California have this in common. Rain is so rare, we don’t even know how to react if it does happen.

I heard Canada has this white thing called snow, wikipedia says it’s frozen water but I don’t believe in that.

Reminds me of my reaction to the Sun after a few days of working on the computer with the blinds closed.

A couple hundred comics later, we learn that Ash’s plane never arrived at YVR, and this has all been a dream in Purgatory.
That’s never been done before, has it?

What is this thing you call “Sky-water”? Does it actually exist? Stupid New Mexico…

When i was in ottawa visiting fambots it was 30+ degrees and when it rained the fambots looked at me to see my reaction to which i reminded them i’m from London England.. Rain.. no problem. I was more confused by the sun and heat..

As a native son of Los Angeles I can agree to the sentiment about rain. I detest when it rains no one know how to drive so you get crazy people going to fast or people going to slow and there is no hope. But if you are lucky and are here for winter storms it is really fun.
Secondary question what kind of crazy food have you tried here?

this visit? not much…. I tried one of the masterpieces at Pink’s Hotdogs once… That kinda destroyed my digestive system.

Alas, January is the month of sky-water in L.A. And no one in L.A. can drive in the rain, though it is often amusing to watch them try on oil-slicked freeways (as long as you’re not actually *in* the traffic yourself).

“I am dead. Is this Hell” Ahaha, classic.
Living here in Ireland we have something similar happen. Ever now& then I ball of burning light appears in the sky. We fear it’s return as the light hurts our eyes& pinkens our pale skin.
