Many Many Happy Returns
Well, this comic didn’t happen…. I’ll just flat out say that. I’m not the brightest crayon in the pack, but I’m not quite dumb enough to confuse a my taxes with a monthly bill. I thought of the punchline for this comic WEEKS ago and I’d been trying to write the first part around it ever since. Some where along the line, this popped into my head and I thought it’d fit in with the flow in the latest story line. enjoy

And yet, there are people who do that as a part of their financial planning. It’s not a half bad idea, if you can afford it.

My dad used to be an auditor at Revenue Canada and he says they often get sent money and have no idea why, sometimes they don’t even know from who. He says there is probably a couple billion from decades of people sending them money and in the bank accounts of dead people.

Sooo the CRA just scoops up the money of the deceased (If there is no heir, etc)? That seems… wrong in some ways.
But on the other hand, I loot every corpse in Skyrim so perhaps I’m being a hypocrite. :s

They don’t scoop it up. They account for it and are frustrated that it can’t enter the economy since it is just sitting there with no one to claim it.

I don’t work for the IRS, but work with them a lot in my tax business. Richard speaks the truth, there are SO many payments sent with no id#’s on them and they have no idea what to do with them. I have to stress big time toclients how to send a payment so it doesn’t get lost.
