Steve writes: Yep, it’s true, I really did back the Veronica Mars Kickstarter at the top tier, and I really do get a speaking role in the movie. This comic is making fun of the fact that some media outlets seemed to have the impression that I’m “not a fan”, which is 100% untrue. All

Steve’s comments: I came up with this idea at a dinner out with my wife. It literally fell from the sky into my mind like a hot stream of delicious gravy. All night, I couldn’t stop chuckling. When I got home I immediately sent the script to Ash. Seriously, how cool would a gravy satellite

Steve and I very much wanted to do a comic about the recent KISS concert we went to (also HOLY CRAP STEVE TOOK ME TO SEE KISS!!!) but nothing comically funny happened while we were there… well nothing that fit into a 4 panel comic, so we made up this one because we had been

This comic didn’t really happen. I have been meaning to write something to this effect for some time, but it never quite fell in to place until now. Steve and I have a LOT of differences in our personalities and tastes (and he’s also much, much smarter than I am) but there are some core

Once again, I’m going to throw up a bit of a disclaimer on this comic. I am by no means trying to speak for ALL women here. I do not believe every single girl is catty enough to think evil thoughts about their friends when they get a pretty dress/ lose some weight/ get a

This comic is pretty self-explanatory. I wanted to do a comic about going to see the new Batman movie but I didn’t really have any funny stories surrounding it. This situation happened to me years back when I was trying to hint to a friend of mine that I wanted to go see the Hulk

Steve’s comments: I wrote today’s comic about Pocket Planes, which I’ve lately been playing on my iPhone. It’s an addictive little game that has a great concept but has some very fundamental flaws. Many of these flaws have to do with the game’s bizarre economy and monotonous gameplay. But one gripe I have is that

Happy Canada Day, everyone! ***before you mention it, I am aware that there is a spelling error on the word “fourth” I am not in town right now and don’t yet have access to the master file, but it WILL be changed soon.*** This comic didn’t really happen per se… I was actually originally discussing

There isn’t much to say about this comic, it’s another strip based off of a real conversation between Steve and I. He did run over a nail a week or two back and we had a conversation over text that was very similar to this one (I think it may have ended with “well that

So, before you post anything about this comic, please take note: I have many friends who live in Los Angeles and not a one of them is a hockey fan. As a Canadian I found it strange to live in a city with an NHL team and not want to go see them play or

I sort of liked the first hour or so of the movie, before things go completely nonsensical.

I wrote this one a few weeks back when I was visiting LA for a few days. A few friends and I went to see the movie the day it came out and we were all really excited. As we left the theater there was an awkward silence between the whole group… no one wanted to be the first one to say that they didn’t like it. I’m not sure what else to say about the movie that hasn’t already been said by various online reviews and the general public. I wanted to like this movie SO BADLY… I just didn’t.

I cried like that when I saw the ending to the lord of the rings, they were tears of rage, but the sentiment is the same.

So, despite our long conversation on the way back from Universal City Walk, I spent another week confused by this movie. Then I read the “reddit explains Prometheus” thread. Then I saw the movie again at the behest of a friend on their birthday. Turns out that if you aren’t confused by the circular references and manage to ignore the poor story construction and bad pacing that the movie can be a lot of fun. Still not good, but maybe at least fun.
