In Case of Emergency

Steve's comments:

This comic is based on true events at XE.com. When our company grew to exceed a certain number of employees -- I can't remember what the number was -- we were required by law to create a Safety Committee. Now in a larger firm, I can understand why you would need one of these. But in an office with fewer than 30 people, it's kind of silly. Yes, it does do some helpful things, but in many Safety Committee meetings we are sitting around discussing burned out light bulbs and emergency exit signage. The latter of which, by the way, is absolutely ridiculous. For our lower floor exit, there are something like a dozen signs in different locations that point to a giant glass door that you could not miss under any circumstances. But I digress. We had some emergency first aid kits made up, and we were joking how they looked like women's purses. And this comic was born right then and there.
